As a child, I would cut the newspaper cutting of my favourite sports player as a memory to paste on the wall. That newspaper cutting always used to remind me of my favourite sports memory of my favourite player.
And I believe like me, everyone used to do that. We like to collect such moments whether a newspaper cutting or from our mobile camera that we have clicked live, but we do collect it in any form.
And now with the introduction of NFTs, we have the opportunity to own | to become the sole collector of our favourite sports moment.
An example is NBA TOP shots: NBA Top Shot allows users to buy, sell, and collect NBA NFTs that showcase influential “Moments” minted on the FLOW blockchain.
So I believe every sport around the world | every team will definitely launch their sports moment for their fans to own.
And it is already started, you can see steve curry launching his sneakers as NFTs, Shaq O'Neil has his dunk moment as NFT and the list goes on.
So the Idea #4 for my favourite team: Royal Challengers Bangalore
Most of you will don’t know this team, will give you a short introduction
India has the biggest cricket league every year known as the Indian Premier League ( IPL )
And RCB is one of the top teams in that league with the craziest fan following including me.
And we are loyal fans, other fans would agree.
So I thought RCB needs to give back to their community and what's better then creating NFTs after the long journey of 14 years.
All the sports moment from this long 14 years of the journey can be created as NFTs and minted for their fans with the additional perks of owning that NFTs.
That perks could be
- Players exclusive meetup with fans
- a box cricket league with players
- 3 years ticket to every RCB match from the VIP area
- Get your name in the Hall of FANS
And many more
And at any time Fans can resell that NFT in the secondary market for higher profits and the RCB team can earn royalties giving both the fans and the team to earn and build a stronger community.
Now, this is just one idea where RCB can make use of NFTs, like this i will be presenting more ideas for such brands every day.
